Busy Day with good results....

So Karen you know those lists I was making...

I decided the month of June was to use the long arm. My little Padwan wanted to learn how to use it, so we started last night matching finished quilt tops to backings.

The quilts tops are all in one spot. Piles!
I have the pile that is ready to go ... top, batting, backing...

Then there is the pile that has the backing and top... no batting.

Finally there is the pile with batting cut.. backing not finished and top.

The padwan wanted to learn so we loaded a quilt and off we went.

Now the Princess quilt is done. Not bad for starting to load the quilt at 3:30 and being done by 6. It will go into the square up and bind pile. Which the label and photograph pile will be last.

Although piles are back everywhere in the sewing lair there is evidence of getting things done! It feels so good.

What have I learned from this....
  • I had a lot of work just waiting to be quilted.
  • I had all the batting I needed.
  • I managed to find material in my stash to back all the quilts.
  • I find it more fun to work with someone on  big tasks.
While the Silver Fox worked on the garden and plans for our raised veggie bed I was totally happy to be progressing.

How did I get such a back log. I need to make a proper count. I have decided to keep a record of quilts made with pictures and stories behind them. Eventually I will self publish a vanity book just for me.

June looks like it will be a good month. Babysitting the "Sweet Little One"  two days a week. That will keep me occupied and keep me laughing.

Some of the quilts are not great creations but pieces to practice on.... Others are tops from my mom to do.

I looking forward for using the neat metal pieces you gifted me with. It is inspiring me to pull out the rusty objects. I need to find some more old  white cotton sheets.... Where could you get good old cotton white sheets? Know anyone with a laundry service or something?

Spuddy and Sunshine are making supper for us tonight. Korea Chicken and oven roasted potatoes. Last night was Pad Tie. I like having them here to cook!

Keep looking for more quilts done this week. I'm booking 3 days a week for sewing!
