Glad you had such a good day. The little Padwan looks quite professional standing there behind the longarm. Glad she is doing that. It just feels so good to get some things crossed off the lists and practice your skills. I love doing binding. Anytime you want me to contribute just call. I find it so satisfying. Just a little kiss before sending another finished project out into the world. Like putting lipstick on and kissing your silver fox before he goes out the door. Marking territory. I used to do that with Mike. He never wiped it off in my presence. I think he liked it.
You are so right about how much more fun it is when you have a friend to work with. Even when you are both working on your own project, just having friend in the room makes it so much easier. Shared energy bounces.
This time last year we were together making some indigo dyed fat quarters.
I can't find any pictures of us in your backyard but I am sure you have some. anyway these are the results. I have used some of them in projects.
This is one of my favourites. It's called Mammogram.
This is another tablecloth that I stitched before I dyed. Just kind of random stitching. I put it on the little round table and covered it with the glass top and look what happened. Still more oxidation going on. And I thought that I had it centred, too. Very WabiSabi.

It's a linen tablecloth with crocheted corners. I folded it and clamped cd discs on either side before dying it. I quilted it and bound it with pink fabric from the hospital gown that you wear when having your test. It's a favourite.
