Morning Jo. It's a beautiful day in my neighbourhood.
I am just plodding along. I have stuff ready for a new quilt but I am really trying to get the last one finished before I start a new one.
It's called finish what you start ..or persevere..or what was I thinking..
I have been trying to get at least one row done a day. not a lot really. only takes about 15 minutes if I do it right. Yesterday I thought I was doing it right but when I was almost done I realized that I had put two blocks in the wrong way. Yes the darkest and the lightest which would make it really obvious when it's put together. And of course I followed the wrong one when I started piecing the next row and the next and the next. So there was a little bit of unsewing going on at my house. And then I discovered that I had reversed the direction at some point. Glad I hadn't made those last rows yet.
Wouldn't you think that I had enough experience with piecing after some 40 years that I would not make that kind of mistake?
My local library has added Creative Bug to its website .Cool. I looked at a few of the courses and think that I might do some of the sketchbook things. I have been doing a bit of sketching lately. Just trying to get better at it. I am so thankful that the library has done this. I know that the budget for craft books and magazines can easily be eaten up with all of the publications out there. This way i can choose which classes i want. Thanks NFPL.
