Karen...
Sometimes I feel so scattered in my creative endeavors... with the Covid situation it is not like I am spending less time at home. When the weather is sunny it seems to give me energy... but as we know we have had a cold and wet Spring.
I also forget that our work is not quick to finish... quilting, art quilting, process, finishing all require time and energy... How can we keep our energy up? I am always inspired by get together's... an exchange of ideas, showing progress, play dates. There certainly are not a lot of those going on.
I am still working on my Karen inspired challenge to make a Double Wedding Ring... One way to use up my ice dye fabrics...
Trying to create flowers....

I actually have the first row down completely done and all the melons done.
I have to deal with the scraps from cutting caps..
And I guess I am kind of in the same boat of you of trying to make a studio with less piles. The piles discourage me from working in the room but the effort to clean it up is over whelming too.
I need a plan or energy... so instead I have ice dyed some more fabric...
Trying to create a landscape.
What do you think of these Karen?
I also taught a impromptu class to a friend via FB messenger . That was kind of fun. I dropped off a "kit" and instructions and then we used messenger to work through the instructions. It was a little bit rough but great to play remotely. She was happy with the results which she sent me pictures.
I am also working on some "traditional" quilts as I am doing a sew along with DD from Sugaridoo. We are into month 7... I am on row 6. The paper piecing has been a bit hard for me on this row. A couple of hours and I should be caught up.
Why did it seem that when I was going out all the time that I got more done at home?

My mussing for the day.... I just need to finish something....
I can relate to the being at home more and yet getting less done. I think that when we are getting out and doing things we have to focus more on taking time for our art.
