I'm feeling Blue... too!

Hey Karen

Oh looking back on Indigo days makes me long for the Blue!

I can't believe it is June. It feels like April early may with all the weather changes. I am feeling all the pressure changes and wish I could hibernate for a few days. But that does no good.

What I am working on is really boring. I finished more masks for a family that has high risk members in it. Satisfying to help but boring as all get out. I have sadly to say I have such a process now that I do in batches and don't even have to think.

Padwan and I have finished two quilts. Number two was not fun. Thread kept breaking. I'm going to try a different type of thread in the machine. I went through the thread breaking check list a few times Now it is time to try a different thread. Some machines like one thing over another so I am told.

I am also trying to get the panto's lined up in an uncomplicated way. Why do they sell so many pantos and don't have great info on how to use them?

Enough complaining.. do the work learn the machine Jo.

I also have to get my last set of caps done. After this week no more materiel to make them. I have avoided it for two weeks. I need to move on for awhile.

But I do want to feel blue.  So I scoured the files and found some pictures.
We look so happy! These were take June 29th, 2019

Not blue berry pie filling

Blue and green should always be seen. (Remember the old saying blue and green should never be seen... only in the washing machine... )

Could make an interesting hat design. Reminds me of the sorting hat in Harry Potter.

Karen looking fondly on her fabric as it changes from green to blue. (Chemistry at work... oxidation)

Look I spotted our elusive Silver Fox!

I think we need to start are prepping. It might be social isolation dyeing this year but we can  have a distance coffee and show all our fun.

Mind you I need to work on last years batch. I still am going to make the jacket and then use the rest in a quilt. Why let it sit in a box?

Use it or lose it! Isn't that another saying. So often I put sayings into my everyday speech. Wouldn't that make a great quilt?

Here is a challenge for you... Sayings my mother said or we use all the time. I'll set up a page for us to write them in. You will see a page above to click on. We can add any (clean, no derogatory sayings) Maybe we could challenge each other to make a series of small quilts on how we depict the saying. Humm more work but may be fun!

I can send you the file of all the pictures of our blue we took that day.
