Oh the pics from indigo day. Look how much fun we are having. I wore the same shirt today...just because.
I did have a lovely day today, too.
I spent last night on the porch watching a spectacular lightning storm. I did take some pics but they don't show how good it was. I thought about sleeping on the porch..but then I went to bed.
and then today.
A lovely socially distant visit with friends.
Then a not so good at socially distant visit with a grandson. It's hard not to get close when he's behind the machine. We have both been isolating.
I had a bunch of half square triangles cut out. He sewed them together. We did a bit of mathematical calculations to see how many parts we needed to assemble to cover a pillow. Good math skills. He figured it out.
He sewed them all. I just pressed and handed.
He liked it. And he will remember it for a long time. It was like one of those perfect moments that will stay. Always.
I have had a lot of perfect moments in my life. They usually are just moments that happen. I don't see them coming. And they are not big moments. not weddings not celebrations just perfect little moments that make up a life.
One perfect moment. Christmas Day..maybe 2015 or 14..not sure ..first perfect part..Driving to Haliburton on Christmas Day. made it in 3.75 hours..Record time.good weather.. good traffic,,no police..happy driver....
2 minutes away from daughter's house we are stopped on the road by a flock of wild turkeys on Christmas day.PERFECT..happy passenger.
Hope we have another perfect day soon with a bucket of indigo. I am collecting things and getting some things ready for the indigo pot. It won't be the same. But we can make it a good day. Maybe even another perfect day.
