Some Quilt Tops Finished.

 Karen

I've been thinking about you all week. It seems quiet here after all the hustle and bustle of DS2 wedding, Small weddings are the way to go but you miss out on sharing the day with so many people.

I think everyday what is Karen up too?

Me, it has been a get it done week. Yes I have had not one top finished but two and a set of baby sheets made for a friend.

Here is the double wedding ring from ice dyed fabric that I made. I finally finished putting the rows together. It took longer than I thought. Now it goes on the bottom of the to be quilted pile.

What do you think? I won't get it on the long arm till the new year. There are some I need done first for my mom.  I love the ice dyed fabrics so much.

My next finished top was the Sugaridoo Berninia Quilt Along I was doing with Anne. The top deadline was the 26th. I am a week early. This to will be done in the New Year. This one was done in batiks from my stash and this grey neutral. Some fun techniques were done and some paper piecing.

It takes up the full height of my design wall to the floor  and is 70 inches wide. The picture lighting isn't the greatest but I hope to learn more about how to do the lighting soon.

No pictures of the sheets. I just finished putting the elastic in.

Tomorrow I think I will dye some wool fabric. I need to get started on that project. I did a general pick up of stuff off the floor so we could walk to the laundry with out falling. I am trying to clean up after myself.

How has your week been?

  1. Wow. you have been busy. good for you.

I love your DWR quilt. the gradations are so beautiful. Some of the spots seem to glow. I hope you can finish it up while we still have lots of snow on the ground. I would like a picture of our projects with lots of snow on the ground. That's a first for me--praying for snow.
